Umpire Pregame Checklist

Use this checklist as a guide to prepare for on field communications and to help keep proper mechanics consistent among all of us, regardless of whom we work with. The assigned UIC should be the official contacting his partners, preferably the evening before the next days game, to verify game time, correct ballpark, parking concerns, uniform conformity, and any other concerns. If one partner does not hear from the UIC a few hours before game time, it would be a good idea to contact that UIC to be certain he understands there's a game. Remember, this is a guideline and may not cover everything needed to go over at a particular contest, especially if there's "history" between teams. Pregame. Pregame. Pregame.
